Ugh I have to be honest with you. I know Venus just entered Leo but I’m already ready for it to be over. Leo is just so extra sometimes! And the anger! But let’s zoom forward a little bit. We’re rapidly approaching late summer already and that means the inner planets are all making moves toward earth sign Virgo.
The heart will move from burning inferno to busy service mode when Venus enters Virgo. This transition from fire to earth is going to hold us down and provide some much-needed routine as we get licked by the flames of Leo. At the same time Virgo is definitely an agent of motion, sometimes chaos. How much work actually gets done in her garden is debatable, but the pace is caffeinated and exciting af!
Venus in Virgo’s love language is sensibility, loyalty, and purpose. During this transit, we can show our love by being available and doing nice things for ourselves. The highest purpose of this transit is to learn how to be of excellent service to ourselves. Extra emphasis for all you stubborn Virgos out there.
If Virgo has a flaw, it is the extent to which she fixates on details, especially the details of other peoples’ thoughts and problems. She does not tend to fixate on the details of her own life at all, actually, and that’s by design. She endlessly distracts herself from herself by focusing outward. In fact, her powers of distraction are so strong that they can easily disrupt her wellbeing and perpetuate cycles of chaos.
If/when she does anything for herself, Virgo feels guilty. Because her identity is inextricably linked to work and service, Virgo experiences anxiety or depression if she is not in service to others. This is how Virgo exercises control over her life, by trying to make everyone around her happy. When she’s balanced, Virgo is calm in her body and mind, takes good care of her health, delegates her time wisely, and sleeps soundly.
Virgo often forgets how to just be and breathe. She wants to know everything, be everything, do everything. She forgets, in the midst of nonstop work and service, that some things cannot be explained, planned, or deduced. And she forgets, most of all, that it is ok not to know something. It is also ok – essential! – to pause. Rest. Breathe again.
Virgo energy is so busy and alert that many Virgos have trouble sleeping, eating, and/or managing basic day-to-day wellness. This is the ultimate irony of Virgo, that she is so devoted to making sure everything and everyone else is ok that she completely neglects her own wellbeing. This is understandable when we consider that Virgo is ruled by Mercury, the planet which rules the mind, spinning at breakneck speed around the sun. Virgo’s mind likewise spins at a rate too fast to comprehend. When the mind moves so quickly for years on end, never stopping, this is how Virgo becomes trapped in powerful loops of fear and anxiety.
Venus in Virgo is the last stop before Venus returns “home” to Libra. So don’t ignore your needs, babez. Remember: serve yourself first, then others. This is the only way to unlock Libra’s golden garden door.
Ok take a deep breath, this transit is going to be extremely busy considering how many planets are in Gemini and Pisces right now, putting pressure on Virgo:

Aug 7: Venus conjunct Mercury Rx in Virgo. Life feels exciting, novel, and invigorating. Excellent influence for all things social. Buuuuut Mercury will have some tricks up his sleeve. Expect dysfunction despite the high vibes. Be very careful if traveling.
Aug 18: Mercury Rx square Uranus in Taurus + Sun in Leo conjunct Mercury Rx + Venus square Jupiter in Gemini. A change of plans is definitely in order. Or, the ideas are there, but the will to execute is not. Take good care of yourself; this is going to be a super intense day. Nightmares; anxiety; depression; feeling off. Potential for extreme social turbulence. This aspect will make it crystal clear which relationships are working or not. Huge spotlight on not just communication but also expectations in relationships.
Aug 19: Venus opposite Saturn Retrograde in Pisces + Sun in Leo square Uranus in Taurus + Super Full Moon in Aquarius + Jupiter in Gemini square Saturn Rx. SUPER POWERFUL DAY. Erratic energy, sudden change of plans. Tension, arguments. Anxiety about “how things are going.” Trying to do too much at once. Many things happening concurrently. Trust your intuition.
Aug 22: Virgo Season begins + Venus square Mars in Gemini. This one is rough on the body. We really really need to boost our immune system before this hits. Anxiety will also need to be managed. Get lots of rest.
Aug 27: Venus trine Uranus in Taurus. This is an exciting and social day but will also feel low energy or off. This paradox is very common with Uranian influence because it is so erratic. Unexpected elements coming our way, especially on the social front.
Aug 28: Venus opposite Neptune Retrograde in Pisces + Mercury Retrograde ends! Neptune churns a whirlpool of disenchantment and disillusion in this tough position. Really keep your eyes open; not everyone can be trusted. Think very long and hard about any contracts/new relationships you enter into at this time.
