Super Strawberry Moon in Sagittarius 🔥 June 14, 2022

We haven’t had a non-eclipse full moon in Sagittarius since 2019. This constellation has been an important emotional change point over the last few years with both lunar and solar eclipses falling here. All of this fire in the heart has allowed us to be more flexible, adaptable, and open-minded. It has forced us, for better or worse, to expand at breakneck speed as we dance to keep up with these ever-changing times.

Sun and moon oppose one another in Gemini and Sag: the axis of thought and movement. This supermoon brings so much to the fore. Here we are full of life, full of ideas, full of zest. The June full moon is known as the Strawberry Moon as it coincides with berry ripening season. On full moons, Luna rises at sunset, peaks at midnight and sets at sunrise – and this is true all over the world, no matter your time zone. When the sun goes down, this is our cue to head outside and see the moon rising majestically in the east.

Sagittarian fire is so expressive and boisterous that we are drawn up and out of our usual thoughts and routines. It is as fresh as can be, vivacious and brimming with energy. Imagine a big bonfire with old and new friends, fire spirits dancing in the light. Fresh strawberries and effervescent drinks. Joyous laughter racing the sparks up into a clear night sky.

Revitalize, inhale, expand – this is the centaur’s calling. Follow him into the forest of freedom.

For many years I made a spontaneous trip to Mt Shasta, California on this full moon. Mt Shasta is a special place, an enormous peak who collects travelers like morning dew at the base of her majesty. I camp high on the mountain, make a fire, and sing. Silence and nourishment, flicker and glow.

Give yourself time to be, aimlessly, without inhibitions. This is a lost art form, existing effortlessly, without expectation.
