Super Worm Moon in Libra ♎ Mar 28, 2021

This full moon is the first of four supermoons in 2021, all happening one right after the other. A supermoon can be a full moon or new moon, occurring when the moon is at perigee or within 90% of perigee (the point at which the moon is nearest to the earth in her monthly orbit). The March full moon is also known as the Full Worm Moon, with earthworm castings beginning to reappear in the soil. The full moon rises at sunset, peaks at midnight, and sets at sunrise, no matter where you are.

Sun and moon oppose one another in headstrong Aries and diplomatic Libra: the axis of self (Aries) and others (Libra). Each relationship reveals who we are and where we are in life.

The health of our relationships comes down to communication. Libra is also about community. Love and community are humanity’s forgotten heartbeat, buried beneath a mountain of smart phones and social media and private homes walled off from the world.

I encourage you to examine community from a radical context – how do you show up for social justice? What kinds of conversations are you having, and with whom? As our inquiry deepens, we have to let go of certain things to stay in alignment. See things as they are; call them out by name; take action. At the same time, practice forgiveness. This is the delicate balance of the Aries-Libra seesaw.

Psychic and physical energy increase significantly at every full moon. Emotions and intuition will be heightened. Full moons during Aries season tend to be impatient and restless. Nothing seems to come fast enough. This supermoon will form an exact opposition to both Chiron and Venus in Aries. The sun, Chiron, and Venus are all in a tight stellium.
