Last Quarter Moon in Pisces #2 ☾ June 20, 2022

This is the very last moon phase of Gemini Season 2022, coming just six hours before the summer solstice and beginning of Cancer Season. This is Quarter Moon in Pisces #2 because we actually started Gemini Season with this same moon phase. Due to the natural wobbling and waffling of the planets in time and space, we sometimes get moon phases in the same constellation, one in the very first degrees of the constellations, the latter in the final degrees.

The Waning Last Quarter Moon rises at midnight, peaks at dawn, and sets at noon all over the world, no matter your time zone. At this station, the lethargic moon in Pisces squares the gregarious Gemini sun once again. Here we are for a revisitation of whatever came up around May 22. What to expect now?

The cool thing about revisitations is that we get to wrap up loose ends and work out lingering issues. This moon phase tends to be very sleepy and draining, so for round two we should focus on self-care, especially avoiding vices and being more intentional with food and drink. Mutable moon phases really stir up our nervous system and digestion.

The essence of the last quarter moon is clearing and emptying, making way for the new moon / new lunar cycle. This phase prepares us for the New Moon in Cancer on June 28.

When Pisces comes around, you never quite know what to expect. She comes in many different moods, sequences, colors, dreamscapes. What we need is deep sleep. Rest & relaxation. Acceptance & surrender. Simplicity. Solitude.

The pace of Gemini is so fast and crazy. If we remember to slow down and dip our toes in Pisces’ eternal pool for a bit, we will find that we can breathe easier.
