Last quarter moons are turning points, clearing the way for the new moon / new lunar cycle. This phase prepares us for a Total Solar Eclipse New Moon in Aries on Apr 8 🔥

Capricorn & Aries; earth & fire. Lumps of lava sprout from rich, humid soil. The ram, red eyes cooled, descends the desert mountain to meet the shaggy sea-goat at the base of the ocean cliffs. In a tide pool they sit, horns locked.

Aries and Capricorn belong to the cardinal modality. This modality is about initiation, action, and direction. Capricorn in particular is focused, productive, goal-oriented. The energy of this quarter moon is busy and purposeful.

You might feel the weight of Capricorn, like a log of madrone, more solid than solid. You might feel cosmic pressure creeping up your spine. Capricorn makes life feel so serious and consequential sometimes.

We need to learn from Aries and remember the magic of movement & new beginnings. We do not have to stay locked in to anything, despite Capricorn’s emphasis on commitment & longevity. We have the freedom to make changes when it is necessary, when it is healthy.
