Jupiter in Gemini ♊️ 2024-2025

May 25, 2024 – June 9, 2025

It takes 12 years for Jupiter to circle the Sun. Twelve constellations in twelve years = one year per constellation. This next year Jupiter travels through Gemini, an air sign ruling human connection and communication.

Since May 2023, Jupiter has been sitting like a boulder in Taurus. Jupiter in Taurus has been one seemingly endless quest for a physical home, yes, but more importantly, home within self & soul. Taurus is about place and the security that place provides. Jupiter in Taurus is a question of belonging: where do I feel most healthy and nourished? This transit stitched us back to our senses, back to our most basic needs.

Taurus operates on a very slow wavelength. Unprecedented patience is necessary to make it through this transit lest we get crushed beneath the immensity of the sacred cow. To compensate for her girth, Taurus dishes up beautiful experiences. Or more like, while she’s laying on the ground chilling, she calls out, hey, did you notice how fucking gorgeous these trees are? And so it is. Prosperity and abundance well up from deep within Taurus’ green earth. This decidedly sloth vibe works on us from the inside out, pressuring us to take action. Time spent recovering in stillness gives way to a feverish restlessness, the kind which produces astonishing results.

Hold tight, trust in the process. This is the fertile magic of Taurus, revealing itself in sensual waves; a whole new planet of possibility emerges from the depths of violet cosmic clouds. Feel Taurus’ solid, sensual energy guiding you through the brambles, up into the cool, drifting clouds, where Gemini waits for us with a wry smile.

Think back to June 2012 – June 2013. What was going on in your life? These same themes are coming back now with Jupiter returning to Gemini for the first time in 12 years.

Where Taurus sits for days, Gemini flies overhead, aqua sparkles raining down. Where Taurus lounges in lassitude, Gemini navigates with ease, hopping from rainbow to rainbow. 

Gemini actives the mind, creativity, and intellect. We are moving into a higher gear now, remembering what excites us in life.

What do you want to learn about? Who do you want to meet? Gemini induces a strong desire for connection, whether that is neural or social or creative.

This is the perfect time to go back to school or travel or do something totally new. Gemini can’t sit still or be in one place. It’s time to take action and shake things up.

The mind is fresh and alive here. We don’t need to rest anymore. We need to open as many internal and external channels as possible. You’ll be so surprised and relieved by just how quickly life flows now that Taurus is heaving herself out of the way.

Jupiter in Gemini favors creative projects, especially those pertaining to language or writing. What have you been meaning to create? What has been percolating in the folds of your mind? Release all your brilliant words and images, allow them to come out screaming and wild and free.

Jupiter in Gemini is also a question of identity. Gemini is the sign of the twins and represents the natural duality of life. Think of Gemini as a mirror. The person we see in the mirror is at once Self and not. It is what we project; how we carry ourselves through the world; how we are seen.

How do you want to be seen? We get to play with this now. We need to be playful. Let’s play with our style and appearance, with our self-expression. We get to decide who we are, day to day, moment to moment. Many different kinds of relationships will also be explored in the highly social world of Gemini. We can hold our relationships with more lightness and curiosity. We can treat modern social life as an experiment and see where it takes us.

Meditation is an excellent practice for 2024. I also recommend a daily writing practice. Don’t let your ideas pass by; look them in the eye, make love to them. Without hesitation, capture what you’re thinking and feeling and then experience the unique power of sharing your creations with the world. We want to see what you’re creating!

June 2: Jupiter trine Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius. This trine is powerful, magical, wonderful. It last occurred from Oct 2015 – June 2016. This is a very stimulating time in which many things are possible. This transit (like Jupiter in Gemini in general) favors travel, education, and all things related to improving our understanding of life. This is an excellent time to take classes, especially in an unfamiliar/foreign setting. Prepare for deeply satisfying, mind-opening experiences. This trine signals massive learning opportunities. All things flowing in new, positive directions. I think we will look back on summer 2024 as a significant turning point.

Aug 19 + Dec 24: Jupiter square Saturn Retrograde in Pisces. This square last occurred between Aug 2015 – May 2016, within the same timeframe as above, when Jupiter was in Virgo, Pluto in Capricorn, and Saturn in Sagittarius. This square is all about confronting our personal conception of how capable we are. Saturn rules duty and responsibility. Opportunities will come our way but the question is: am I ready to take it on? Saturn’s influence (read: pressure!) indicates a period of major growth. Like the transit above, it is an excellent time to take risks, start something new, and/or enter into a new career. We will exit these two rounds of squares (in late December) feeling more mature and more prepared to handle the inherent difficulty of life. In other words: adulting!
