Jupiter in Aries ♃ 2022-2023

It takes 12 years for Jupiter to circle the Sun. Twelve constellations in twelve years = one year per constellation. This year Jupiter will travels through Aries, impatient master of fire.

Since May 2021, Jupiter has been spinning in and out of Pisces. This last year asked us to review our morals and beliefs. Jupiter in Pisces has proven to be deeply confusing. Nothing about Pisces is direct or straightforward. There were many days that make us wonder wtf we are doing. People are yearning for meaning and purpose in a way that we haven’t seen since the magical aura of 2012. We are exhaling slowly now as we look back on the last decade. We are asking ourselves big questions about who we are and who we want to be.

Now Jupiter in Aries. Think back to June 2010 – June 2011. What was going on in your life? These same themes are back.

Aries is #1 in the zodiac, bursting with life and confidence. Under this influence we have plenty of opinions and declare them all. We identify with our own perspective more than anything at this time. Clinging to our own tiny raft in the sea of life brings enormous opportunities for growth when it all inevitably comes crashing down. Right now we get to work on communication and community-making and see how to balance the individual with the reality of having to live together on this crazy planet.

There is something insatiable and exciting about Aries. This is one of those years where we can really make things happen just as much as we have the capacity to burn it all up. We have to be careful with fire. Jupiter rules fellow fire sign Sagittarius so he is very much at home in this element, which is wonderful, and also dangerous. We will get to do so much work on the ego and emotions too.

No matter what, we’re ready to take it all on and dive in head first. There is no hesitation this year, no reflection, hardly any stillness or rest. We are moving and quickly. We want to be best, first, fastest, brightest. We want to take risks and lose control.

As a cardinal sign, Aries is all about beginnings and initiation. This is the perfect time to start something big and intimidating and fun. Remember that this is the beginning of a whole new 12-year cosmic cycle. Think about how powerful this is. We can completely start over. We can become a new person with a new life.

One of the greatest gifts of this cycle is the blessing of being able to let go of the past and move forward. We can finally stop ruminating about our failures and turn a fresh face towards the sun. We feel so much more agency and ownership in our lives with this kind of fiery push now. Those who lead will be greatly rewarded.
