Happy full moon! Happy lunar eclipse! The March full moon is called the Worm Moon. The moon will rise at sunset, peak at midnight and set at sunrise all over the world. The actual eclipse will be visible from western Europe, North/East Asia, Australia, western Africa, North America, South America, and much of the Pacific, Atlantic, Arctic, and Antarctic regions.
Eclipses can be full or partial. The earth’s shadow consists of two parts: the shadow cast directly behind the earth is called the umbra, and the fainter, fan-like shadow surrounding the umbra is the penumbra. This full moon is a partial (or penumbral) eclipse.
Eclipses never come alone. This lunar eclipse will be followed two weeks later by a Total New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries.
Sun and Moon oppose one another in Aries and Libra: the axis of self (Aries) and others (Libra). We can call it the relationships axis. Let’s take a deep dive into relationships of all kinds: to self, friends, lovers, work, life, and everything in between.
The Full Moon in Libra is a celebration of friendship and community. What do our relationships (and their challenges) say about our relationship to self? Each relationship reveals who we are and where we are in life.
Libra’s friends are her family. She craves real connection. She places a high value on social and emotional intelligence. She teaches the youth to be vulnerable and paradoxical and therefore human.
What happens at this eclipse is not unexpected – quite the opposite. It’s been percolating for a long time now and your intuition is well aware. If you’re not in the right place with the right people, you will know. Trust.
Conflict seems to originate from the outside and yet it is only a reflection of inner conflict. We enter into toxic environments or relationships because we have a fraught relationship with ourselves. With love I encourage you to immediately disengage from anything/anyone dragging you down.
Great news: the moon forms a supportive trine to Pluto in Aquarius, allowing us to feel even more empowered and powerful! Emotions will be running high though! Cathartic, intense, passionate.
Full moons during Aries season tend to be very draining if we’re not in the right place, energizing if we are. So take notes, my loves. Feel Libra’s luxurious energy oozing out of the fresh spring flowers. In meditation, focus on the heart chakra. Stay centered with Libra Yoga. To find your personal moon sign, click here.
