Sun and Moon oppose one another in Aries and Libra: the axis of self (Aries) and others (Libra). The April full moon is known as the Full Pink Moon, because, according to The Farmer’s Almanac, it “heralds the appearance of the moss pink, or wild ground phlox—one of the first spring flowers. It is also known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and the Fish Moon.” The full moon rises at sunset, peaks at midnight, and sets at sunrise, no matter where you are.

Are you ready? To be evaluated? In your relationship to self, other, love, work, life, and everything in between?

The Full Moon in Libra asks whether we are meeting the needs of all, including ourselves. Do we feel real intimacy with ourselves? And what do our relationships (and their challenges) say about our relationship to self? Each relationship reveals who we are and where we are in life.

Libra is all about relationships, communication, and community. Loving relationships and community are humanity’s forgotten heartbeat, buried beneath a mountain of smart phones and social media and private homes walled off from the world. Are you truly connected to others? Real social and emotional intelligence are becoming increasingly rare. If we can’t look one another in the eye when we speak or practice the art of civil disagreement, what do we have left? Who will teach the youth to be human?

Much work and effort is required to achieve balance and harmony in the Aries-Libra axis. This full moon is not for the faint of heart. Communication is not easy! If we want to feel settled internally and externally, we have to make a huge contribution right here and now, a contribution of the heart, not just time and energy. Libra is one goddess who really doesn’t fuck around. So if you’re not in the right place with the right people, expect to be ejected, or at least the cosmos will try to get you out! Will you listen though?

This full moon lightly opposes Jupiter in Aries so take it easy on the expectations – don’t let your hopes get up too high and everything will be ok.
